Have you ever faced a situation in your life when you entered your bathroom for a shower and ended up getting an ooze of water only? If the answer to the question is yes then carry on reading to avoid such kind of situations again. This kind of messy situation can easily be tackled without the help of a professional plumber.

If your pump is pumping water from the well at a good pace or the swiftness from the main line of water is good then the trouble is probably located inside your house. In case the problem is inside then you can solve the problem yourself. Most of the problems can easily be solved without the need of an expert. This would save you some extra bucks as well.

Start off things by unscrewing the showerhead from the main supply of the water. The problem may be residing inside the showerhead itself. The showerhead can be unscrewed easily by bare hands. If it appears jammed then use a pipe wrench and an old rag. Old rag would secure the showerhead from any scratch marks during the dismantling process.

Now, if the pressure from showerhead is not sufficient than take care of it first. Screw off the showerhead from the main line with your hands. You may use a wrench and old rag to open the jammed showerhead.

After removing the showerhead, turn on the supply of the cold water at its maximum speed and inspect the water pressure. Repeat the same process using the hot water tap and check the pressure again. The idea behind running the taps in full flow is to clear any filth that is trapped inside the pipe. The flakes of the rusted pipes get trapped inside the pipe and block the flow of water. Turning on the taps at maximum speed would clean out these flakes.

If you notice any hard water deposits or rust on the showerhead then you can either replace the showerhead or you can clean it out with the following procedure. Take a cup of vinegar and a quart of water in any container and boil the solution. Now, put the shower head in the boiling solution for 15-20 minutes and then carefully remove it.

Let the showerhead cool down and clean it with the help of a dry cloth. Also, check the flow of the water from the shower before placing it back in position. If the flow of water is decent then screw it back in regular position.

Be careful not to place your plastic showerhead in boiling water.
