Speaking of naked and exposed, I am assuming that there is a possibility that these people are – in addition to the BIG fencing – fencing that surrounds the lower part of their personal property. Yeah? Why? Do they not trust their neighbors, which are dependent on the division of community safety? Maybe you are not certain that the fence is really BIG big enough to do its job? Or maybe they want the privacy of their personal enclosure that really allow them to be … ahem … Not so naked and exposed in the comfort of your garden.

So we use fences for security and privacy. OK, realizing the necessity of all semi-adherent seven points more than three seconds to clear each and every one of them may not be all that effective in eliminating mischievous marauders. But what the hell, if you feel better …

Let’s move onto the transition to a small town. Take a look at the fence. Looking around, I see some four feet fence in the chain of back yards. Since almost everyone has two to three feet fences, thinking for a few seconds I would guess they are not built for security. It is obvious that neither of them care for privacy. So, what is their purpose? Oh, c’mon, you know. This is to prevent children from chasing squirrels out into the street – and to maintain the dogs from roaming off the night carousing and barking at strangers that happen to walk by. Oh, there may or may not be a dog or child currently living in the household, but you can know with almost absolute certainty that it once was.

However, what happens if the fences are so high, stable, secure that the fence blocks off all traffic? Oh, you’ll see a little here and there about some of the premises. That is about it. Except that on-site decorative picket fence or rail may be installed to add a split log rustic look of the property. Hmmm, interesting, right? It is interesting that people who live in this small town feel so safe. Secure in myself and the comfort that they really know and communicate with their neighbors (translation: “friends”) – and with the knowledge that their neighbors care enough to actually watch all the property to make sure no one just ” snoopin “around”.

What about privacy? What is this? If you plan to be doing something that you do not want to see someone else, I guarantee you that you back up in the house drapes. Other than that, nobody really cares if the neighbors are watching them mow the lawn or work in the garden. This is perfectly acceptable, and even merits a wave or a short conclusions maple or on the porch. (Ya gotta take a break from the task once, you know.)

The only fences you will see in this neck of the woods are those which have been made to prevent livestock (which would be like horses, cows, goats and pigs for you city slickers) from wandering off to nearby property. This is only common sense thing to do. Moreover, if we expect to personally benefit from the neighbor Betty is a fantastic tomato crop next year, would be wise to our cows from trampling her garden!

If you want a decorative barrier around your garden then installing wooden fencing should be considered. However if not cared for properly it will soon look out of condition. So before you do decide to install this kind of fencing take into account how much you will need to spend each year on maintaining it. If you are unwilling to spend the money needed to care for your wooden fencing then in a few years you may have to spend even more on completely replacing it.

You can if you want employ someone to maintain the fence for you but again this will cost and so most homeowners will rather do this work themselves. In this article we offer some tips which you may find helpful in relation to caring for your wooden fencing properly.

Tip 1 – Every couple of months or so you should carry out a full inspection of your wooden fencing to look for any damage. The type of damage that may occur is splintering, peeling of the paint or stain or mould growing on it. Also at the same time check to make sure that no birds or insects have chosen to make their homes in or on it.

If as you inspect the fence you notice termites on it then this problem needs to be treated immediately. You can do this yourself but it is far better to employ the services of a professional as they will have the necessary equipment to eradicate your problem.

Tip 2 ” As you carry out your inspection should you notice any areas of the fence are protruding or rough then sand these down immediately to prevent causing injury to others. Sometimes it only needs you to sand the area down yourself will suffice to get the work completed.

Tip 3 ” If you are going to paint your fence remember that you will need to retouch it every couple of years. Again inspect the fence and as you do so if you find any paint flaking or chipping remove this so that a smooth surface to which the paint can adhere is provided. Also before you repaint the area where the paint has come away apply a protective coating to the wood first.

Tip 4 – If you are intending to paint your newly installed fence then choose a colour that complements or matches other colours within your garden design. However, if you don’t like colour then use a natural stain on your fencing instead. It doesn’t matter which you use both offer ample protection to your fence from the elements throughout the year.

Tip 5 – When you apply any type of stain or paint to a wooden fence you must read the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the product and follow them correctly. Also it is a good idea to let the first initial coat of paint or stain to dry completely before apply any more as this will ensure that you apply it evenly over the whole of the fence.

Above we have provided several tips on how to care for wooden fencing properly once is has been installed. If you do use these then the fence you have installed will look good and last for many years to come.

Taking on the garden area at your home can be very pricey and time consuming. It is certainly worth the time and effort when you think of how much tranquility you will have when you set outside and enjoy the space that you have created. The wonderful news is that there are some brilliant garden landscaping suggestions available today.

The lines of the garden certainly make a difference. One terrific idea is to build in some fine-looking curvy lines to the outside edge of the garden. You can do this fairly easily by digging a little shallow trench in a curved pattern along the outside of the garden. Slot in a fancy fencing item into the trench and your curved pattern is whole. Then you just need to bring the soil out to the edge of the fence.

A big factor in your garden choices will come when you decide what you wish to use your garden for. Do you wish to grow your own herbs and food? Growing fruit and veggies in your private garden will offer you with a reduced grocery bill on top of a good-looking garden. Having a useful garden can be great if you want the upkeep that a produce garden brings with it.

If planting flowers in your garden space is more what you are dreaming of then you ought to first settle on if you would like to have annual flowers and plants or perennial flowers and plants. You need to choose if you wish to revamp your garden space year after year by buying and planting fresh flowers each year.

In the event that you would desire to plant your garden one time and let the flowers bloom year after year on their own then the perennials are the selection for you. These flowers will come back and the exquisite garden that you put the time and effort into now will come back as the seasons turn on their own.

An added great idea for a garden is to add some garden sculptures. A highly popular garden piece is the looking globe. These globes come in loads of varied colors. They are large round balls created of a reflective material that will make your garden really pop. You simply acquire a column for the ball to rest on and the look is absolute.

Locating other statues for your garden will be a snap. There are garden gnomes sculptures as well as statues of small children or animals of all sorts. Setting up a water feature in your garden perhaps be a wonderful notion as well. Why not add a small pond or water fall if it is what you love?

If having a great garden is what you have always dreamed of, it can happen with the right design. There are quite a lot of garden landscaping thoughts available and you are sure to hit upon one that suits you.
